Business Development Manager

A growing supplier of fitness products to wholesalers, retailers, infomercials and promotional companies is seeking a Business Development Manager. The Chicago company is growing currently developing new brands for retail. The Business Development Manager will concentrate on the growth of the company's retail division with these newly developed products.

Business Development Manager must have CPG experience to launch a new brand into Big Box retailers, Sporting Goods retail chains and Clubs. This individual would be hard working and want to take ownership of growing our retail sales market for this new product and our future brands/products. This person would have experience selling to large retail chains and it’s a plus being connected at sporting goods chains. This person will work with the President & Vice President on formulating a plan for North American launch.

Description:
1.Develop new business markets and execute against newly developed product lines
2.Drive profitable sales and revenue growth through the implementation of effective sales strategies
3.Create sales strategies and objectives to maximize the brand presence and increase consumer reach
4.Build the industry relationships and contacts needed to effectively position the business for growth
5.Prepares all sales presentations & marketing tools used by our brands for potential accounts
6.Travel to meeting & tradeshows on behalf of the brand- Travel approx. 10% of time
7.Work with Operations & Factories to ensure order fulfillment and ship dates are met
8.Support in developing & growing our brands


Skills/Qualifications:
1. Excellent communication & follow-up skills with an advanced command of account management
2. 5+ years CPG experience
3. Experience in strategic planning and execution of sales strategies
4. Experience working with Large retailers & sporting goods chains
5. Proven ability to achieve revenue, profitability and budget targets.
6. Computer skills, Microsoft office
7. College Degree
8. Professionalism
9. Good attitude and a desire to contribute to the continued growth of the company.
10.Interest in the products we sell

Salary: $75K base salary plus performance/sales based commission up to 60% of salary.

Travel: 10% travel required.
